Due to the COVID-19 situation Badminton Europe will be scaling down and Badminton Europe staff will be sent home

It is difficult times around the continent and around the world. The COVID-19 situation develops day by day and multiple sport events and activities have already been postponed, most likely with more to come.

Badminton Europe is currently experiencing a significant reduction in income due to cancellations and postponements of events and activities. Therefore, it has been decided that the Badminton Europe office will scale down on number of staff from 24 March 2020 until further notice. It is important to mention that no staff will be sacked but that this is only a temporary measure.

- Tournaments, events and activities have been postponed due to the COVID-19 situation and like many other companies, we face financial challenges, Badminton Europe General Secretary, Brian Agerbak, stated.

- We have taken this decision to avoid making staff redundant as we hope to be back to normal activity levels after the current crisis is behind us. By scaling down now we hope to prepare Badminton Europe for the future, and we will do our outmost to come out of these difficult times in the strongest possible way, he added.
