Viktor Axelsen’s second match at the World Tour Finals was against world number two, Chou Tien Chen, Chinese Taipei. 

The Dane has a good head to head against the Taiwanese player as Axelsen has won nine out of 10 matches. Last time the two players met, was at the World Tour Finals in 2017 where Axelsen won in three games. 

It looked like Axelsen could add another win to his statistics against Chou when he won the first game 21-12. However, the Indonesian Open champion came back in the second game and won 21-12, sending the match into a deciding game. When the players were at a tie in the last game, Chou showed why he is the world number two by taking five quick points and winning the match 21-15. 

In men’s singles Group B at the World Tour Finals Axelsen is now number four after losing his two matches. Chen and Ginting have both lost and won one match, but as Ginting has won three games while Chen only has won two games, Ginting takes the place as number two in the group. Lastly, we have Chou as number one in the group with two wins.
