Yesterday, 10th of December, a meeting at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) was held in connection with the changes of the concept for Certificated Training Centre (CTC).
The meeting was established for the participants to come and talk about the structure and criteria of the new CTC concept. 13 participants attended the meeting and were either an existing CTC or a potential CTC.
Jacob Oehlenschlaeger, BEC Development & High Performance Senior Manager, organized the meeting and was very satisfied about how it turned out. Here is what he had to say about the meeting.
- I was very pleased with the meeting as it was the first time, we hosted a BEC CTC network meeting. We had 10 existing CTCs and three potentials CTC represented in the meeting. All the participants showed a lot of interest in the topics discussed and was very constructive in finding new ways of collaboration between the CTCs, CoE and Badminton Europe.

- There were two main topics for the meeting. The first topic was about the new criteria for being a CTC. The new criteria goes in the direction of more collaboration between the stakeholders in the CTC programme and closer contact and communication between CTCs and Badminton Europe. The second topic was brainstorming ideas and discussions of how the collaboration should be in the future.
What next?
- The task is now to have a closer look on all the good ideas coming from the meeting and decide on how we can develop the CTC programme. And then in beginning of January we will send out application forms for being a CTC.
