In the opening match for sixth seed Kristen Kuuba of Estonia, it was a solid performance in the women’s singles.

Kuuba played Portugal’s Sonia Goncalves in the first round at the Scottish Open and won in straight games, 21-17, 21-16. Speaking about her performance, she said.

- I think it was a good first round win. I needed to win that match, so I am happy about it.

We asked Kuuba how she feels with all of the tournaments coming thick and fast.

- It is hard to say because one week it is fun, and another week it is not so fun. With a lot of competitions and travelling, your mind is getting tired, and you need to focus all the time. But I reached the quarterfinals in the last tournament, so I am pretty happy, stated Kuuba.

With a few great results for the Estonian ace this year, we asked what is going so well for her right now.

- I think I found a good rhythm. My shots are quite okay, and I think that is the key, she ended.
