Dutch Open has begun.

The first day is over and the second day has begun. A lot of matches have already been played, and there are still a lot left.

Badminton Europe spoke to Stefani Stoeva about her expectations for this tournament and who she sees as a potential favourite in the women’s doubles. Here is what she had to say:

- Well, we will go match by match and of course we want positive results here in Almere. Everyone has a chance.

A shaky start
In the mixed doubles there was a Dutch settlement between Selena Piek and Robin Tabeling and Debora Jille and Ties Van Der Lecq. Piek and Tabeling won 21-19, 18-21, 21-11.

On Instagram Selena Piek wrote: “A shaky start but through to the next round. Credits to Debora Jille and Ties Van Der Lecq for playing well. Onto the next ones.”
