After incredible efforts from so many of Europe’s brightest talents, we have come to the final day. It is Russia and Denmark who have strong representation in tomorrow’s finals, with France and England taking a place each.

The flying five for Russia
Russia, who made the short journey to Gniezno, Poland, will be proud of booking half of all possible places in the finals. The number one seeds in the mixed doubles, Lev Barinov and Anastasiia Boiarun had a comfortable ride most of the way until meeting Danish pair Boe and Nesic today, taking 3 tight games to secure their final spot.

The Russians will face another surprise package tomorrow in the form of unseeded Christopher Vittoriani and Mette Werge who defeated four seeds en route. Both Barinov and Boiarun will impressively also feature in the level doubles finals respectively.

I am not done yet
Another unseeded success was witnessed when French men’s singles star Sacha Leveque who overcame the in-form Ethan Rose from England. Rose performed brilliantly when getting past number one seed Janacek and then number eight seed Kim. But the run came to an end when Leveque secured an exciting match-up in the final. Leveque spoke after the match

-I think I played well and fast today and I am happy France has secured two medals. We have a good generation.

Tomorrow he will fight for a gold against Dane Mads Juel Moller, who has really caught the eye this week, and will also be vying for the men’s doubles title.

Moller after his men’s doubles semi-final today said

-I feel like we controlled the match today. Our tactics worked out well so we are happy with that. I am happy to be in two finals tomorrow, but I am not done yet!
