French Sacha Leveque made a surprise beating Nurullah Sarac from Turkey.

The fifth seed Turk bowed out of the 2019 European U17 Championships losing in straight games 21-19 21-9 to Leveque, who is unseeded.

- It was my first match of the individual tournament, so in the beginning I had a little bit of pressure, especially because I did not play a lot in the team event, so I am not so used to the venue, Leveque said.

Perfect second game
The French men’s singles is proud that he managed to beat Sarac.

- He is the fifth seed, so he is a good player. In the first game I started well and got a good lead, but I made too many mistakes. In the end I focused more and managed to win it. In the second game I made almost no mistakes, the French said.

In the next round Sacha Leveque will face David Smutny from Czech Republic.
