Turkey ready for the knockout stage

Turkey is ready for the quarterfinals after winning four out of four ties in the group stage.

Turkey is seeded 5/8 and from now on all wins will be a bonus for the Turks. Sunday evening, they made it out of the group as winners.

In the last tie of Group 8 Turkey beat Belgium 5-0. Turkey won the men’s singles, women’s singles and the women’s doubles securing the victory.

- We have a goal, and our goal is to be champions. 2 years ago we lost in the final against Denmark and now we want to be champions. We are not scared of any teams, men’s singles and men’s doubles player Nurullah Sarac said.

France also ready for QF
France follows Turkey into the quarterfinals. France qualified as winner of Group 7.

In the final tie of the group France beat Hungary 5-0

Alex Lanier had a good day on court winning the men’s singles and men’s doubles for France.

- In the singles I did not feel good. I could not feel my legs. In the men’s doubles it was not difficult and I am very happy with the doubles.
