Anders Antonsen is in the World Championships final in Basel.

On paper Danish Anders Antonsen was the favourite against Kantaphon Wangcharoen from Thailand, and the European Games champion, who is seeded five at the Worlds, took the lead from the beginning of the first game.

There was no doubt at any point during the match that “The Next One” would make it to the final. Anders Antonsen is ready to face the defending champion and world number one, Kento Momota, after beating Kantaphon 21-15 21-10.

- He made a little bit more mistakes than I did. I was super calm in there, and I tried to focus on every point. I did not give anything away, so he had to work hard for his points. I think I did a good job, Antonsen said.

Cofident Antonsen
In the World Championships final Kento Momota is waiting for Antonsen. Last time they met, Antonsen won.

- There are a few tactical things that I can bring tomorrow, but I think what I will bring is my confidence from this tournament and the matches I played, Antonsen said.

- It is always nice to have won the last encounter against an opponent, so I think I will bring a lot of confidence.
