Alexander Dunn and Adam Hall put up a good fight but lost to Indonesian super stars Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan.

21-19 21-16 in 33 minutes. The stats say it all: The third round clash between the Scots and the Indonesians was a typical “Ahsan/Setiawan”-match.

- We are happy with the performance but also a bit frustrated. We had chances in both games and we made a few silly mistakes which costed a bit, Adam Hall explained.

- Before the match we would have taken 21-19 21-16, but actually thinking about it now, it is just more frustrating.

The first four
The Indonesians are famous for their service situation and the short rallies, but the Scots do not feel that the 2013 and 2015 world champions dominated “the first four”.

- I think we returned very well most of the match. They are world class at that, but I think we challenged them, Adam Hall said.

- Hendra Setiawan serves very good, and Ahsan is so quick around in the back. Hendra is on top of the net, and then you are struggling from there, Alexander Dunn added.

The unseeded Scots made it to the round of last 16 for the first time at the Worlds beating Thailand's Bodin Isara/Maneepong Jongjit in the first round and had a walk-over in the second.
