Chinese legend, Lin Dan, lost in the second round of the World Championships.

The World Championships has come to an end for the former world and Olympic champion. Lin Dan lost in three games 21-11 13-21 21-7 against H. S. Prannoy from India.

- I did not have enough energy. Yesterday I played until 5-6pm, and I had to play early this morning, so it is hard to recover, Lin Dan said after the match.

- I could not play at 100 percent.

Harder to recover
Lin Dan won the World Championships title in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013, and the men’s singles profile admits that recovery takes more time than it did in the past.

- Every year is different. I need more time to recover, but I am wondering why the scheduling is like this, Lin Dan said.

The World Championships in Basel was the 12th World Championships for Lin Dan.
