A big step has been taken for badminton in Kosovo.
Kosovo is the youngest of Badminton Europe’s Member Associations and in July at the Regional Project in Albania, Kosovo participated for the first time.
30 players and coaches attended the course organised by the Albanian Badminton Federation.
Pleased with Albanian support
Players from Romania, North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo participated in the training sessions and the social activities.
- It is fantastic to see a new Member Association taking part in our Regional Projects. Badminton Europe always welcomes new MAs in our projects, Luca Crippa, Development and High Performance Officer at Badminton Europe said.
- I am very pleased that Kosovo with the support of the Albanian federation could succeed in such short time.
Sharing knowledge
There was a difference in level between the players from the different countries, but for Luca Crippa it does not matter:
- Sharing knowledge and experience are some of the main goals for the Regional Projects. It is not all about winning and losing – it is about learning, Crippa said.
