England’s Krysten Coombs says that his only goal for the Para-Badminton World Championships is to go all the way.

The SS6-player is coming into the tournament in very good shape after winning the Irish International.

- My only goal is to win the Para-Badminton World Championships. I am playing some of the best badminton right now, so I cannot wait to get onto the court in Basel, Coombs said.

-  I have just won the Irish International a few weeks ago and then the UK Para-Badminton Championships.

- I could not feel any better leading up to the worlds. With a silver medal at the last one-two years, I really want to do one better this year and become world champion.

It has come a long way

The Englishman is also honored to be part of the event as it joins the badminton World Championships next month.

- It is amazing! It is going to be great to be part of the first sport ever to do it, and yes, it just shows the development of para badminton over the last few years.

- Actually, over the last 11 years, as my first para badminton international was in 2008, Coombs said.
