Last week’s Indonesia Open runner-up Anders Antonsen has climbed two spots up to occupy position no. 9 on the men’s singles world ranking list. That is a career-best result for the Dane.

In the finals, he lost to Chou Tien Chen in a three-set match and got 10200 points from the BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournament.

Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus and Victor Svendsen have both moved one spot up and are now standing on positions no. 25 and no. 49 respectively.

Russian Open semifinalist Sabrina Jaquet has moved six spots up to enter the top 50 in the women’s singles world ranking list.

New ranking position for a COE player

Badminton Europe “Center of Excellence” player Milan Dratva (Slovakia) has moved eight spots up and is now standing on position no. 190 in the men’s singles world ranking list. Following his last three tournaments in Africa, he has got one more stop in Nigeria, playing in Lagos International Badminton Classics this week.

-It feels good to be back in top 200 but that’s only a start. I’m halfway through my African tour of Benin, Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria and I’ve enjoyed my game and took some good wins which was the most important for me. Ranking points come with it naturally, Dratva tells Badminton Europe.

-I’m hoping to cross the top 150 line as soon as possible. I’m planning to play 7-9 more tournaments until the end of this year. Of course none of that would be possible without Badminton Europe and Slovak Federation.
