BC Chambly Oise has proven this evening that they are here for a medal after a comfortable 5-0 win, and it was not the strongest squad that they could have played.

The French club was the only club this evening to win all of their matches, while Recreativo Les La Orden and Frogner Il both won with four matches to one.

Hart has pumping energy in first ECC

Jordan Hart who represented Chambly against Badminton Jonglënster, won the Women’s Singles match this evening in straight games (21-4, 21-8).

Hart is playing for the first time at a Club Championships and despite the easy victory on the scoreline it was not as calm inside her head.

- It is my first club championships, so I will not lie but I actually felt quite nervous going into the match, but I settled well and was able to settle the nerves in the end and I am happy with the win, Hart said.

The Welsh Singles player is hoping that the team can reach the latter stages of the tournament and then play well against Primorye Vladivostok who they will probably meet.

- Our target is to reach the final, but seeing the whole of the Russian national team at sparring, means it will not be easy for us as Primorye are obviously very strong as they always are, she added.

Belgium support get their win

After two days of brilliant support from the fans behind Bad 79 Anderlecht, they finally got their victory, which came today in the Women’s Doubles.

This was not an easy match for them in any way though, the girls still had to fight for every point and eventually, in the third game, the win came home for the brilliant Belgium support.

- We are so happy, it was the first time that we have ever won a game here, Stephanie Van Wel said.

- It is very good. It is a good motivation, without them we would not be here. We are a group of good friends and it makes us a happy team, we are like a big family, she added.
