The next edition of ´European Para-Badminton Towards Tokyo 2020´ features Catherine Rosengren from Denmark.

The 20-year old competes in the Standing Upper 5 sport class in para-badminton and is the highest ranked para player in Europe, in her Sport Class.

Watch the video to see how Rosengren is looking forward to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics and what goals she thinks that she can achieve.

The best in Europe right now

Rosengren is the second-best ranked player of her Sport Class in the world and is the best player ranked from Europe.

The Dane recently played at the FZ Forza Irish Para-Badminton International 2019 and reached the final but unfortunately lost to the World number one, Ayaku Suzuki, from Japan.

Rosengren also got stopped by the same Japanese opponent in the tournament before in Canada.

Optimistic ahead of Tokyo

When speaking to Badminton Europe, Rosengren revealed her ambitions was to go the distance in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

The Dane has a very good chance of achieving her ambitions and will now start her qualification process for the event.

- I think my chances are pretty good at the Paralympics, there are some pretty good Asian players, but I think that I can play well against them, Rosengren said.

- If I train harder and keep doing what I am doing right now, then maybe I can make it and win Gold, she added.
