“It’s cool to be back in top 50”

Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus has moved one spot up on the men’s singles world ranking list to occupy position no. 23. Rasmus Gemke is following him on the 25th spot.  Two positions down is Jan O Jorgensen - no. 27. He has moved two positions up compared to last week. 

Another men’s singles player from Denmark – Victor Svendsen has moved ten spots up to occupy position no. 49. He went into semifinals in last week’s Spanish International where he lost to Toby Penty in a three-set match. 

-It was a good tournament for me and I am happy about it, says Victor and adds:

-It’s cool to be back in top 50. 2019 has been a mixed year with good results and injuries. But I am hundred percent fit now and looking forward to the upcoming challenges.

Changes for women’s singles

Line Kjaersfeldt (Denmark) is back to being world no. 19 after spending three weeks as no. 20. Mia Blichfeldt is standing two positions down – no. 21. Scotland’s Kirsty Gilmour is back to top 25. 

Beatriz Corrales (Spain) and Neslihan Yigit (Turkey) have both moved one spot up, currently occupying positions no. 45 and no. 46 respectively. 

Denmark’s Julie Dawall Jakobsen has moved two spots up to stand on position no. 48 and Israel’s Ksenia Polikarpova is concluding the women’s singles top 50 list after climbing two positions up. 

Changes for doubles

Russia’s Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov are world no. 22 according to this week’s men’s doubles world ranking list. 

Two positions down are standing Germany’s Mark Lamsfuss/Marvin Seidel – no. 24.

Denmarks’ Maiken Fruergaard/Sara Thygesen have moved one position up – no. 19 on the women’s doubles world ranking list.
