On 19 May the Sudirman Cup 2019 will get underway in Nanning, China and will come to an end on the 29th. In this 16th edition, 31 teams from all over the world will put on a spectacle for the crowd, giving their best performances.

Overall the Groups are four, divided into subgroups. Slovakia and Lithuania are seeded in Group 3 B along with two other teams and will fight for overall placings.

Slovakia: ready to perform well

In this important competition Slovakia will not be competing for the title of the Sudirman Cup but for general places and will fight against Switzerland, Sri Lanka and Lithuania. Slovakia’s participation is of great importance, though, due to the unique tournament experience and its glory.

Martina Repiska, a Slovakian hope for the Qualification of Tokyo, ranked as World's number 94, is an excellent choice for the Women’s Singles.

The World's number 226 ranked Milan Dratva will contribute to his team by playing in the category of the Men’s Singles.

However, the above-mentioned Slovakian players are the first choice for the Mixed Doubles as well and are expected to do their best.

Lithuania in a highly competitive group

Lithuania is fighting in the same Group as Slovakia and will have to face tough opponents.

In the category of the Men’s Singles, Povilas Bartusis is a possible choice to represent his team.

Whereas, in the Women’s Singles, Vytaute Fomkinaite and Gerda Voitechovskaja are potentially the representatives for their team.

It a big challenge for Lithuania, just to be a part of this international event, therefore, no matter what the outcome is, it will be a great experience.

The Schedule for Group 3 B is the following:

Sri Lanka [3/4]-Slovakia [5/6]
Switzerland [2]-Lithuania [7/8]
Switzerland [2]-Sri Lanka [3/4]
Slovakia [5/6]-Lithuania [7/8]
Switzerland [2]-Slovakia [5/6]
Sri Lanka [3/4]-Lithuania [7/8]
