The Danish hygro-box manufacturer, Uni-Damp, has agreed to a five-year marketing partnership with Badminton Europe in a move to penetrate European markets.
In a new strategic collaboration, Badminton Europe and Uni-Damp have joined forces to help Uni-Damp build market shares across Europe utilising a range of Badminton Europe marketing channels.
Uni-Damp manufactures hygro-boxes that ensures optimal humidity for shuttle storage which increases durability and shelf life of the shuttles as well as playing quality.
Hygro-boxes for shuttles
The company already has a strong grip on the Danish home market with more than 600 hygro-boxes sold to clubs and organisations, helping them save money on shuttle purchases and improve playing quality.
Commenting on the partnership, General Secretary of Badminton Europe, Brian Agerbak, says:
- Uni-Damp is a highly interesting partner for us as we can help them enter a virtually untapped market with a product that is relevant for most badminton clubs across Europe.
- With this partnership, we promote a product which will allow clubs and federations to save money on their shuttle budget. For this reason, this strategic partnership brings value to the entire badminton eco-system.
Equipping Badminton Europe's Centre of Excellence (CoE)
The partnership will include B2B and B2C activations on both digital and offline Badminton Europe platforms, highlighted by presence at the 2019 European Club Championships in Luxembourg in July 2019.
The agreement also includes equipping the BEC Centre of Excellence with top-of-the-line products to elevate the quality of facilities offered to players.
With more than 30 years of experience, Uni-Damp recently undertook new ownership and business plan and has consequently shifted focus towards new European markets.
CEO of Uni-Damp, Per Sahlertz, says about the investment:
- A cooperation with Badminton Europe is a great opportunity for us, as we can include many different platforms with the same partner.
