We move from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, for the next BWF Tour event. And today featured qualification and the commencement of a handful of 1st round matches.

Denmark’s Kim Astrup and Anders Rasmussen in the Men’s Doubles were Europe’s only representatives today. And the 6th seeds made quick work of their opponents from India, M. R. Arjun and Ramchandran Schlok.

Astrup and Rasmussen, surged to a comfortably won first game, however had a brief scare in the second game, being behind for the majority of it. However, following 4 consecutive points when entering the ‘business end’ of the game, they were able to secure the win, 21-11, 21-18.
