The action continues this week with the YONEX Polish Open 2019 which is taking place in Częstochowa, Poland from 28th of March to 31rd.

The first round of the qualification starts tomorrow on Thursday at 09:00 AM (CET) and lots of capable players will participate in the hope of holding one spot in the main draw.

In this International Challenge event, Europe will be represented by many players.

Yvonne Li : Hope i will do well in this tournament

In the category of the Women's Singles, the number one seed Yvonne Li from Germany will participate, in the hope of moving forward. Being in excellent physical condition this period of time, Li is prepared to perform as well as she can.

-I am fit so, hopefully i can play without anything holding me back and show a satisfying level of play, the German shuttler said to Badminton Europe.

The German player revealed also to Badminton Europe the recipe for a good performance and satisfying results.

-In my opinion, it is important to keep the focus on each upcoming match. But, do not overthink it, she said.

It is still unknown though, against whom Li will play tomorrow.

Corvee aims at good results 

In the first round of the Men's Singles, the number one seed Ygor Coelho from Brazil will face Lin Yu Hsien from Chinese Taipei.

The Frenchman Lucas Corvee, seeded as number two, will fight in the main draw, hoping to bounce back after his poor performance in the Orleans Open last week. His opponent will result from the qualification round.

Hopes for the European pairs in Doubles

In the Mixed Doubles, the number one seeds Ben Lane and Jessica Pugh from England are participating in this tournament, staking out a title after their last back in 2017 in Italy. Tomorrow, the English pair will face Andika Ramadiansyah and Bunga Fitriani Romadhin from Indonesia. 

In the Men's Doubles, the Danes David Daugaard and Frederik Søgaard are seeded as number two and will play against a pair coming from the qualification round. While, on the other side of the draw, the number one seeds are Jason Anthony Ho-Shue and Nyl Yakura from Canada.
 
On the other hand, in the Women's Doubles, Emilie Lefel and Anne Tran from France, seeded as number one, will play against Serena Au Yeong and Katharina Hochmeir from Austria.

The number two seeds Delphine Delrue and Lea Palermo from France will meet the Ukrainian pair Maryna Ilyinskaya and Yelyzaveta Zharka.
