COE player Felix Burestedt (Sweden) had reached his career-best result last week as he had moved four spots up to occupy position no. 87 on the men’s singles world ranking list. This week, he is standing on position no. 88.

After winning Portuguese International two weeks ago, he won his two matches in the qualifications of Swiss Open and advanced to the main draw, losing to Parupalli Kashyap (India). He shares his thoughts with Badminton Europe.

-I am very happy and this is a good step in the right direction. But still I need to work harder to reach my goals. I will have a good training block and I am looking forward to playing European Games.

France’s Lucas Corvee has climbed six spots up on the men’s singles world ranking list. He went into the quarterfinals of last week’s Swiss Open, losing to the runner up of the tournament Sai Praneeth B. (India).
