Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus (Denmark) has moved seven spots up on the men’s singles world ranking list according to this week’s BWF World ranking list published on Tuesday. The Dane was in the semifinals in the German Open last week, where he lost to the winner of the tournament - Kento Momota (Japan) in a three-set match, getting 4900 points to occupy position no. 24.
The men’s singles world ranking list has Brice Leverdez (France) standing next to Vittinghus and Mark Caljouw (Netherlands) following them on position no. 29.
In the women’s singles world ranking list Mia Blichfeldt and Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt are the two highest ranked Danes standing on positions no. 17 and 19 respectively, while Spain’s Carolina Marin is ranked no. 3 for the third week in a row.
Germany’s Yvonne Li has climbed four spots up to occupy position no. 44, next to Chloe Birch (England) who has been world no. 43 three weeks in a row. Beatriz Corrales (Spain) is following them on position no. 46.
Doubles rankings
In the men’s doubles David Daugaard and Frederik Sogaard (Denmark) have moved two spots up and are now no. 38.
In the women’s doubles Emilie Lefel and Anne Tran (France) have moved one spot up to stand on position no. 19, next to Selena Piek/Cheryl Seinen (Netherlands) on no. 18. Not far from them, on position no. 22 are Russia’s Ekaterina Bolotova/Alina Davletova, two spots up compared to last week.
In the mixed doubles England’sMarcus Ellis and Lauren Smith are world no. 12, following Denmark’s Mathias Christiansen/Christinna Pedersen.
