With the European Mixed Team Championships being held in Copenhagen, Denmark this week, the BWF world ranking list has some new positions for the European players.

With the European Mixed Team Championships being held in Copenhagen, Denmark this week, the BWF world ranking list has some new positions for the European players – with some small changes for the participants of this big event. 

France’s Brice Leverdez, has moved one spot up on the men’s singles world ranking list to occupy position no. 26. Russia’s Vladimir Malkov and Spain’s Pablo Abian have both moved one position up to stand on positions no. 61 and 62 respectively. 

Denmark’s Mia Blichfeldt has moved one spot up and is standing on position no. 18 just three spots away from her career-best result. Another representative of Denmark - Julie Dawall Jakobsen is ranked no. 59 this week. 

Russia’s men’s doubles pair Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov are ranked no. 22, one spot up compared to last week. France’s Delphine Delrue/Lea Palermo are standing on position no. 27 on the women’s doubles world ranking list. England’s Chloe Birch/Lauren Smith are following them on position no. 32. 

Rogalski’s jump

Michal Rogalski (Poland) has jumped to position no. 114 on the men’s singles world ranking list – 12 positions up compared to last week. He was a semifinalist in Iran Fajr International Challenge last week, getting 2800 points from his matches. He shared his thoughts with Badminton Europe, 

-I am happy that I moved up this week, this gives me extra motivation to work harder. After Austrian International I will have a five-week period of tournaments, so I am looking forward to see how far I can go.
