Tasting a new career path

- At the end of my career I went into a new career in whisky which was an interesting change from sport to alcohol, Imogen Bankier said.
- I worked in Scotland for two years with my family business until I moved to France and opened our whisky shop in Paris, she added.
Wanting a return to the sport she loves
The Scot also spoke about why she returned to the sport and she realised what she brought to badminton which made her want to take a new role.
- That has been three years now and it is going well, I am enjoying it and I am enjoying life outside of badminton but I am now starting to get involved with the French Federation and it is nice to give something back, Imogen Bankier said.
- The time out gave me a lot of perspectives and made me take a step back, it still interests me, I am still passionate about the game.
I believe that I can teach players something, I am delighted to be back involved.
