Denmark’s Victor Svendsen has moved six spots up on the men’s singles world ranking list to occupy position no. 47.

The Dane played Malaysia Masters last week, winning two matches in qualifications to progress to the main draw and losing in the last 16 to Malaysia’s Daren Liew. Svendsen shared his thoughts about his ranking with Badminton Europe.

-I am happy to be in the top 50. It shows that my hard work is giving results and I am motivated to work even harder.

-I have many tournaments in the coming months. I will try to reach the top 32, so that I can start playing bigger tournaments and of course develop myself even more as a badminton player.
