Two BEC Umpire Courses took place in 2018 at two different tournaments where five Women in Badminton scholarship recipients participated.
The BEC Women in Badminton Scholarship Programme is an annual programme where Member Associations can apply for the scholarship(s) in the following categories:
• BEC Summer School
• BEC Congress
• BEC Umpire Courses
• BWF Para-Badminton International Tournaments
The five scholarship recipients who took part in the BEC Umpire Courses are:
YONEX Lithuanian International (7th – 10th June) - Guljannat Huseynli – Azerbaijan and Reet Vokk – Estonia
BABOLAT Bulgarian International (4th – 7th October) - Maija Koivula – Finland, Catherine Dolphin – Ireland and Maria Rodrigues – Portugal
The 2019 BEC Women in Badminton Scholarship application will be opened in January 2019.
