This morning, Badminton Europe has released another BEC Podcast, which is available to view on Facebook, YouTube and is also available to listen to on SoundCloud right now!

This episode features Michelle-Li who sat down with presenter Rasmus Bech and revealed some special things about her ambitions.

The 27-year-old spoke about how difficult it can be travelling alone to different tournaments across the world without seeing her family for long periods of time.

One in the team

Michelle Li travels without any teammates or coaching staff to every tournament she plays in and actually pays for a sparring partner to travel with her.

Li admitted that she would love to have a different situation but insists that she will continue to strive for her goal despite the difficulties.

- I definitely miss home and wish that I had more teammates and more people to cheer me on at tournaments, but I guess I need to just deal with what I have and make new friends, Michelle Li told the BEC Podcast.

- You see other teams turning up for training, they have so much fun, they have ten, fifteen people and I am on my own. It is sad, and I wish I had that, she added.

Something to look out for:

Michelle Li also speaks about her ambitions for the future and revealed what her ultimate aim in badminton is apart from being the best Canadian to grace the badminton courts.

Li also spoke about not giving up playing until she believes that she has given all that she has and does not want to leave the sport with regrets.
