No Europeans on the podium

As the only European country, Denmark has reached the first final stage at the World Junior Mixed Team Championships. After losing to Indonesia and India, the Danes are playing for Place 7 on Saturday.

0-3 and 2-3 is the result for Team Denmark on Day 4 in Markham, Canada.

Thereby, Daniel Lundgaard/Amalie Magelund lost the first match to Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti from Indonesia after three tough games.

Followed by the matches of Magnus Johannesen and Rasmus Espersen/Sebastian Grønbjerg, Team Denmark had to accept defeats after straight games. 

The goal: Reaching place 7

After losing to Indonesia, Denmark had to face India to qualify for playing for Place 5 in the first final stage (1 to 8) on Thursday. The result for the Danes: 2-3. 

Now, Denmark is playing for Place 7 against Chinese Taipei. The first matches start on Saturday at 8.30 AM, local time.
