This morning, Badminton Europe has released another BEC Podcast which is available to view on Facebook, YouTube and is also available to listen to on SoundCloud now.

This episode features Chris Langridge who sat down with presenter Rasmus Bech and spoke about a lot of things involving his badminton career.

The 33-year-old spoke about his family and how important it is to him and how much he would want to enjoy life and shared how difficult it can be to enjoy personal life when being a professional athlete.

Family is everything

Badminton Europe’s Communication Manager Rasmus Bech spoke about the podcast returning and hopes that it will help people to understand more about the players.

Langridge is a father to two twin girls who he misses all the time and admitted that it can be hard to cope with.

- I love playing badminton and I always will. But for myself, my life is becoming more important and it is something that will change, when I call it a day, Chris Langridge said.

- It would be amazing to see my girls grow up. I was away in Asia for two weeks, I come home, and everything has changed. So much changes in that time frame. It just gets tougher and tougher, Langridge told in the BEC Podcast.

Something to look out for

Langridge also spoke about what he wants to do after his career and admitted that it would be hard to walk away from the sport completely.
