Mia Blichfeldt was one of the luckiest winners on Tuesday in Odense. The Danish Women’s Singles player won against top player and seeded number three, Carolina Marin after three games with 21-19, 14-21 and 21-19.

- I am unlucky that I got an injury in my arm, I was thinking about this too much today. But I had two weeks to get ready for this tournament and I was not ready. Mia played very good, Marin resumes the match.

Next to the Danish-Spanish duel, Antonsen/Nohr played their first match of the tournament against their opponents from the neighbour country, Germany.

The Danish pair won after three matches with 21-23, 23-21 and 21-12.

- We were control in the second game, we were nearly closing it but than our opponents came back and also dominated the third one, says Josche Zurwonne.

- We have to work on refreshing our minds after losing the second game, even though we were nearly winning, says Jones Ralfy Jansen.
