After  a fantastic world championships tournament, it is already time to go the usual business. Vietnam Open is the next tournament on the calendar which means another opportunity to collect points. However, this tournament is no usual business for German U22 champion Simon Wang who will await a brand new experience.

- This is my first tournament in Asia on this level. I want to get used to the circumstances and conditions of playing in Asia.

Wang, normally seen at the German league and European circuit tournaments, will play against Yu Ming Adam Lau from Malaysia in the qualifying rounds..

- My main focus is just on my own game. I just want to deliver my highest possible level and not really thinking that much about the results.

- I will go back to germany after the tournament, so my next tournaments will be in Europe again The next following one will probably Hellas Open

Main draw

Besides Wang, there are other players who are competing in the Super 100 tournament. They will come in action on Wednesday when the main draw of the tournament starts.

Pablo Abian (Spain) will not take a vacation, like his world champion compatriot Carolina Marin will. He is however third seeded in this tournament and is therefore one of the potential winners.

Also Vladimir Malkov (Russia) can take a shot on the title as fourth seeded. His compatriot Sergey Sirant is an important outsider. Their opponents on Wednesday still need to be determined.
