Badminton Europe will hold a referee’s course in Leuven, Belgium from 13-14 September 2013. The course is for referees who are currently working at national level and who have ambitions to officiate at international level tournaments. The course is a prerequisite for being assessed as a Badminton Europe referee.

Torsten Berg (Denmark) and Ewald Cejnek (Austria), two of Europe’s international referees, and members of the Badminton World Federation Technical Officials Committee, will be the course instructors. They will share their knowledge of refereeing plus give practical examples of topics that should be considered. Participants will also receive detailed instruction on how to operate the Tournament Planner. This is the software that is used for all international sanctioned tournaments, including the tournaments on Badminton Europe’s Circuit.

There will only be space for a maximum of twelve (12) participants and a maximum of two per Member Association. There is no entry fee to attend the referee course.

Additional information and full invitation have been sent to Member Associations.
