With the World Championships going on this week in Nanjing, China, the BWF world ranking list was published on Thursday having very few changes in the positions.

Misha Zilberman (Israel) had entered into the top 50 last week, however, this weeks men’s singles list has him on position no. 52. He was facing Sri Lanka’s Niluka Karunaratne in the first round of the World Championships, winning the match in three games (12-21, 21-17, 21-10).

-I was very happy with my win against Niluka because he is a very experienced player and I have never been close to winning him in our last matches.

In the second round Zilberman lost to Malaysia’s Daren Liew (16-21, 16-21).

-I was expecting to play better in the second round because last time I had lost to him 23-21 in the third set. I had mixed feelings after losing the second match.

Speaking about the upcoming goals, Zilberman mentions,

-I have to improve my feeling and tactical game on court against the top players, playing more Grand Prix and Superseries tournaments.
