A big group of players and coaches are ready to take part in the 2018 edition of the RSL BEC Summer School.

No summer without a BEC Summer School and this year Slovenia will once again host the RSL BEC Summer School.

For the fourth consecutive year Podcetrtek is the hosting city of the Summer School, and the city is ready to welcome 41 players from 14 different countries on Saturday.

Preparations went smoothly
Matevz Srekl is the organiser, and he is looking forward to welcome all the young players.

- The preparation went smoothly, and I'm already eagerly waiting for the first participants, Srekl, says.

The players will be training at least three times per day, but social activities such as a visit to the local Aqua Park and the traditional football match will also be part of the RSL BEC Summer School.

26 coaches at school
It is not only players who take part in the RSL BEC Summer School. 26 coaches from 18 countries are also ready for action in Slovenia. The coaches will take part in the BWF Level 1 coach education course.

- I am very happy that the Summer School is also taking care of coaches. Europe needs to keep on educating and developing coaches in order to improve the sport of badminton. I am therefore very glad to welcome a lot of talented and motivated coaches in Slovenia, Matevz Srekl says.
