Lucas Corvee (France) entered into the top 40 on the BWF world ranking list for the first time. The French singles player is world no. 39. He shared his thoughts with Badminton Europe:

-It’s only a step in my career that I was waiting for the last few years. I have been working hard these last years to improve some parts of my game, together with Peter Gade and all the staff around me.

Highlighting the importance of having a professional team with coaches, physical preparation coaches and physios, Corvee mentions:

-I put more professionalism around me, and I can produce good performances more consistently than before now. That’s just the illustration of better and more stable results.

Talking about the goals for the summer and for the coming months, Corvee says:

-I will continue to give my best to perform well and will aim for top 30 now. I know I will have to beat better players and have good results in bigger events.

Stable positions from last week

Denmark’s Emil Holst has moved one spot up standing on position no. 46.

Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt (Denmark) occupies position no. 27 on the women’s singles world ranking list after climbing one spot up. Beatriz Corrales (Spain) follows her on position no. 28.

Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen (Denmark) are back to position no. 9 on the men’s doubles world ranking list. Chris Adcock/Gabrielle Adcock (England) have climbed one spot up to occupy position no. 8 on the mixed doubles world ranking list.
