Today, 1st February 2013, Brian Agerbak, the General Secretary of Badminton Europe (BEC), celebrates his 10 years jubilee. Agerbak was appointed by BEC on 1st February 2003 and is since then fulfilling the position of the General Secretary at the European Confederation. badmintoneurope.com congratulates Brian Agerbak and asked him to have a look back and a short view into the future.

“It was a major challenge for me to take over the position back in 2003 from the very experienced Gisela Hoffmann (General Secretary of BEC, 1986-2003). However the support I have received from Council and Member Associations and not least Gisela herself made it easier to adapt into the position. Looking back over the last 10 years times have changed and brought new opportunities and I am pleased to now be heading a staff of 6. There continue to be new challenges with Badminton Europe especially with new media and television where we are trying to be on the forefront. At the same time, we strive to continuously offer support to our Member Associations", says Agerbak.
