Lucas Claerbout (France) climbed one spot up to reach top 60 on the men’s singles world ranking list.
He reached into the semifinals in Orleans Masters 2018 and lost to third seeded Rasmus Gemke who then lost to Mark Caljouw in the finals.
“I am happy to come back to top 60 after an average start of the season”, Lucas tells Badminton Europe. He qualified for the European Championships 2018 and along with Brice Leverdez and Lucas Corvee will represent France’s men’s singles team.
“Now I am looking forward to playing in the Europeans in Huelva, and after that I would like to reach top 50 to enter higher tournaments like HSBC Tour 300/500 and play against top players, Lucas tells Badminton Europe.
Higher positions for singles
Anders Antonsen (Denmark) climbed one spot up to occupy position no. 16 on the men’s singles world ranking list. The Dane is four spots behind his career-best result. Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus (Denmark) has advanced into top 20. Mark Caljouw (Netherlands) reached his career-best result on this week’s world ranking list. He occupies position no. 35.
Misha Zilberman (Israel) moved three spots up to occupy position no. 54. Jan O Jorgensen and Victor Svendsen (both from Denmark) are going side by side on positions no. 62 and 63 respectively. They both advanced two spots compared to last week.
Mia Blichfeldt (Denmark) keeps on reaching career-best ranking positions. This week she reached top 20 on the women’s singles world ranking list. Another women’s singles player celebrating a career-best result is Russia’s Evgeniya Kosetskaya. She went into top 25.
New rankings for doubles
Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov (Russia) climbed one spot up to occupy position no. 11 on the men’s doubles world ranking list. Mathias Christiansen/David Daugaard (Denmark) moved three spots up currently standing on position no. 24.
Denmark’s Kamilla Rytter Juhl/Christinna Pedersen climbed one spot up to occupy position no. 2 on the women’s doubles world ranking list. Russia’s Anastasia Chervyakova/Olga Morozova moved one spot up occupying position no. 22.
Jacco Arends/ Selena Piek (Netherlands) entered into top 20 after climbing two spots up. Mark Lamsfuss/Isabel Herttrich (Germany) are no. 22 on this week’s mixed doubles world ranking list. Russia’s Evgenij Dremin/Evgenia Dimova are standing right after them – no. 23.
