The city of Orléans will be hosting the first Super 100 tournament in Europe after the Badminton World Federation announced the new event structure. Tickets are still available for the event from March 27th to April 1st.

In 2017, the tournament was an International Challenge and part of Badminton Europe’s Circuit in Europe.

-  It was with a lot of pride that we upgraded Orléans International Challenge to Orléans Masters in the new BWF Super 100, says Franck Laurent from the Orléans Masters Commission.

When the BWF made changes to the event structure around the world, the French Badminton Association experienced an upgrade for the tournament in Orléans, as well as for the French Open, which is now a Super 750 tournament.

Laurent is proud to take part in promoting badminton in France and looks forward to welcoming players from around the word:

- We welcome 40 countries from around the world with a lot of the world’s top players. I hope the players and spectators will take a lot pleasure in coming to Orléans.

The French players seem to be turning up in strength, and the spectators can look forward to watching many of the top European players as most them prepare for the 2018 European Championships, which is coming up in April.
