After a 1 hour and 19 minutes, the match between Pusarla V. SIndhu (India) and Akane Yamaguchi (Japan) finally has been decided. It is Akane Yamaguchi who will play the All England final tomorrow.

Sindhu immediately started with attacking gameplay. At first, Yamaguchi did not get much chance to intervene in this play. Then suddenly she found the answer to Sindhu’s game, managed to tie the game, but not win it: 21-19 for Sindhu.

The second game did not start as smooth as the first game for Sindhu and just could not turn it her way. A third set was necessary and it was Yamaguchi who took the win after being 13-17 down.

- Today was just anybody’s game, 18 all in the third set. I think it’s just that one should win and one should lose, so I think it was just her day, Sindhu stated to Badminton Europe

Keep going and play

- This is a very valuable win for me, as it is my first final here at these championships. That made me keep up and be in a more aggressive mode to win, Yamaguchi commented after her match.

After this great win, she will face Tai Tzu Ying (Chinese Taipei) in the finals tomorrow.

Tai Tzu Ying is a player that has everything. But it is my last match, so I am going to play my game, give everything I got and enjoy it.
