Mads Conrad-Petersen and Mads Pieler Kolding did not make the cut against world number one’s Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo (Indonesia).

The Danes did not have a good start of the match. Conrad-Petersen and Pieler Kolding were not able to create many opportunities in the first game and soon saw 11-21 on the scoreboard.

- First game was too many mistakes, Conrad-Petersen stated after their match to Badminton Europe.

- Then you have no chance against them

Worthy of semi-final

How different was it in the second game. The Danes could finally apply their strengths better and caused them a lead until 16-14. However, the indonesians are still a tough cookie and eventually got the second game as well with 19-21.

- We played better and did not make as many mistakes as in the first game, Conrad-Petersen continued.

- In the second game we proved we were worthy of the semi final, but in the end they were just a little smarter than us.
