Marin not proceeded to semi-finals

Carolina Marin (Spain) did not make it through the quarter finals at the 2018 All England Open Championships. She lost to second seeded Akane Yamaguchi (Japan)

Marin and Yamaguchi started the first game keeping the scores on a tie. But Yamaguchi took in the end a small rush and took the game with 21-17.Marin seemed to have turned the tables in the second game, but Yamaguchi still made an end to it.

- I feel very disappointed about how I played today, because I expected that I could win the tournament, Marin commented after her match.

- Finally I also did not feel good on court. also have to keep improving my game, Marin continued. Marin’s next big challenge is the European Championships in her hometown, Huelva.
