Mathias Christiansen and Christinna Pedersen have succeeded to reach the semi-finals of the 2018 Yonex All England Open Championships. In two convincing games they beat the Indonesian pair Praveen Jordan and Debby Susanto.

- We’ve dreamt about the semi-final, but to actually be in the semi-final is pretty amazing! Christiansen stated to Badminton Europe after his match.

- I think the Indonesians were struggling a bit. We had a good tactic that we followed really well. Christiansen continued

- Right now I am just going to enjoy my match

Keep on believing

In the meantime their compatriots Mads Pieler Kolding and Mads Conrad Petersen had a somewhat tougher match in their quarter final. In an exciting first game they were some points behind, but with some help from the audience, they came back and won 23-21.

Eventually they kept on pushing through and the second game was less of a problem. Winning the second game 21-15 made that beating third seeded pair Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen was a fact.

Mads Pieler Kolding: We kept on believing that we were on the right track, even when we were behind. If you do that, there is a good chance you end up winning.
