It was Mia Blichfeldt’s (Denmark) first quarter final at All England. Her challenge here was no one else than eight seeded Chen Yufei (China).

Blichfeldt started very daring with a lot of initiative that caused her a lead until 16-12 in the first game. Then her opponent slowly started to catch up which made Blichfeldt lose 17-21 and 12-21 in the second game.

- I made too many mistakes at the end of the first game and in the start of the second game. That is not good enough at this level, so I have to improve that, Blichfeldt stated to Badminton Europe.

Despite her loss, Mia Blichfeldt is satisfied with the way she played.

- I think I followed my game plan very well, which was one of the main points of the match. I am quite excited about that!
