The first match of the finals day at the 2012 Yonex Hungarian International in Budapest (5.000 US Dollars) was the encounter in the mixed doubles between the 2nd and 3rd seeded Croatian and Czech pairs. It took Zvonimir Durkinjak and Stasa Poznanovic just 30 minutes to outplay Jakub Bitman and Alzbeta Basova in two straight games grabbing the first victory of the day. The Croatians beat the Czechs 21-16, 21-18.

Marija Ulitina got a strong support from the local audience being the shuttler of the Hungarian team champion, Multi Alarm when she struggled in the second game against Russian Olga Golovanova for the gold medal of the women’s singles event.

But thanks to the support, the Ukranian player won the deciding 3rd game and clinched her first international title (21-11; 17-21; 21-16). There was no real fight in the final of the men’s singles category. The top seeded Russian Vladimir Malkov made a comfortable win against French Inoki Theopilus who also struggled due to his leg injury.

Two unseeded pairs moved into the final of the women's doubles category. There were two promising Danish youngster on one side and German Carola Bott paired with Croatian Stasa Poznanovic on the other side. Rikke Soby Hansen and Julie Finne-Ipsen made it very difficult for the well experienced duo to grab the title but finally Carola and Stasa got through a difficult moment in the second game to clinch the title.

The last final of the day was held in the men's doubles category, which is usually considered the most attractive event. The new Dutch duo, Ruud Bosch paired with rookie Jim Middelburg needed three games and a lot of effort to overcome the seond seeded Croatians, Zvonimir Durkinjak and Zvonimir Hoelbling.

The finals results:
