Rasmus Gemke (Denmark) has succeeded to win the Bitburger Open 2017. In the final he beat Hsu Jen Hao of Chinese Taipei.
Rasmus was unseeded at the tournament, but managed to beat four seeded players in a row to his tournament victory. He stated on his facebook page: ‘To stand as the winner on the podium is more than I could dream of’. Bitburger Open is the first Grand Prix Gold title for Rasmus.
Anders Skaarup Rasmussen and Kim Astrup win men’s doubles
After a long thight match, Danish Pair Anders Skaarup Rasmussen and Kim Astrup (pictured above, photo: BadmintonPhoto) won the final of the Bitburger Open. They beat Indonesian pair Fajar Alfian and Muhammed Rian Ardianto in three sets.
It is also the first time winning Bitburger Open for Kim and Anders. ‘We have played some of our best here and winning a title will always be huge- not matter what. We have done well almost every year in Bitburger, but never won the title.’ Anders stated on his Facebook page.

But coming along all the way from qualification to the final was already a great result for Line and Anders. ‘Happy for my/our first grand prix gold final’ Line stated on her Facebook page.
