After the second day of the World Junior Mixed Championship’s, there have been wins for ten European countries including England, Sweden, and Bulgaria.

For Sweden, Carl Harrbacka and Tilda Sjoo beat the Australian pair, Victoria He and Ying Xiang Lin in straight sets to help get a win for their country. The first set was straight forward for the Swedes with a 21-15 win and then the second set was more of the same from the pair with a 21-16 win, to help Sweden go second in the group behind leaders, India.

For Finland, it was a win for Anton Monnberg and Jesper Paul in the men’s doubles over Spaniards Jose Molares and Alvaro Vasquez. The match was not too straight forward for the Finnish. In the first set, Paul and Monnberg won comfortably 21-18, leaving them not too much work to do to win the game. However, the second set was to follow and a wake up call for them as their opponents took the second set 13-21, taking it to the third set. Monnberg and Paul finally won the contest with a comfortable third set win 21-15.

It was a victory for Maria Delcheva after coming back from a set down to win over third sets to take the win against her french opponent Léonice Huet. The first set obviously did not go as planned for Delcheva after losing it with a heavy 21-9 result. The Bulgarian did come back in the second set and reminded her opponent that she was not lying down with a 16-21 win to take the match to the third set. Which was won by Delcheva to complete the comeback with a 17-21 score. The only win for her team in that group.
