European player closing in on top 10

Badminton Europe are just 88 points off of having a player breaking into the BWF Junior rankings men’s singles top 10.

 

Currently sitting just outside of the top 10, occupying 11th place in the rankings is17-year-old Nhat Nguyen of Ireland.

 

With 12,447 points from 11 tournaments, he is the one just 88 points away from entering the BWF Junior Rankings top 10.

 

His most recent results counting towards his ranking was a first and third place in the FZ Forza Irish U19 Open and the Yonex Belgian International.

 

Our next highest ranked junior is another 17 year old. Cristian Savin from Moldova.

Currently occupying 14th place in the rankings, he has got 11,720 points from 17 tournaments.

 

His most recent result counting towards his ranking was a second place in the Ukraine Juniors. European players occupy three places within the top 15 in the rankings, with Arnaud Merkle of France taking the last place.


Our third and final 17 year old sits just 30 points behind Savin, taking 11,690 points from 16 tournaments. Most recently coming in first place at the Romanian Junior where his points counted towards his ranking.
