The Dane has been off the competition court for the majority of the past year with injury but with a good summers work behind him and the advantage of a top partner in the shape of Kasper Antonsen by his side the Dane is back with a bang.

Antonsen and Nohr were tested during the tournament, twice been taken to three sets in both their quarter and semi finals against Swedes and the Bulgarian pair Rusev and Nikolov. In today’s final however the Danes flexed their muscles to beat Aarnio and Heino of Finland in two games. 

“Back on track again” Nohr said via his Instagram page “I am looking forward now to all the upcoming challenges but for now back to Denmark to prepare for a team match on Tuesday.”

Kim Bruun added the men’s singles title to his growing list of Greek triumphs. Bruun is no stranger to playing and winning in Greece and after a slow start where he was taken the distance in his first three matches Bruun beat Henri Aarnio in two games to land his second Greek title of 2017. 

Back to back for Yigit

In the very first match of finals day Cemre Fere partner Ozge Bayrak to land the women’s doubles title for Turkey. The Turks beat their compatriots and junior pair Ercetin and Inci in three games that lasted 75 minutes. 

Neslihan Yigit, who has now put her main focus on singles, added the women’s singles title to the Bulgarian crown she took just a few short weeks ago to do a personal back to back on the circuit. 

Yigit (pictured above) had the easiest of routes to the final where she won easily in all four matches. In today’s final Yigit’s opponent was Mariya Mitsova with the Bulgarian offering a severe test to the tall Turk. Yigit took the opening game 21-14 before Mitsova levelled with a 21-17 in the second set. In the decider it was Yigit who maintained her 100% record against Mitsova to claim the title.
 

In the all Indian mixed doubles final Kapoor & Garg beat Arora & Wadkar in one of the closed matches of the day 21-19 21-19.
