´This is the first time we combine a player training camp together with a coach education course for para-badminton. Our aim is to provide the best training and learning condition for all the participants in Lisburn. It is also our goal to offer tools and exchange knowledge with the coaches attending so that they are equipped and able to continue developing para-badminton in their respective countries. As the deadline is getting closer, I urge all the interested parties to send in the applications before the deadlines to ensure a spot at this event. ´ explained Tania Teoh, Junior Manager at BEC who is the main contact person for this event.

Apart from the course content, logistical arrangement between BEC and Badminton Ireland has also begun and gaining its momentum. The team from Badminton Ireland consists of Michael Watt, David McGill, Greg Farrell, Conor Doherty and Craig McCourtney. BEC is in constant contact with Badminton Ireland to ensure that the facilities, transport services and accommodation in Lisburn are ready for the event.

´In terms of the logistical preparation, I am very confident that Badminton Ireland will do a great job. They have a strong and experienced team which also successfully delivered the 3rd Irish Para-Badminton International in Dublin recently in June.´ added Tania Teoh.

The deadlines for the applications

• For coaches, by Monday, 21st August 2017 before 12:00 CEST
